This project is mainly for Henderson Land’s Kai Tak project (The Henley) to design an application that combines smart home system, access control system, guest registration, facility reservation and other automated experiences. Residents can not only control the doors, windows, curtains, lights, etc. of the unit through the app, but also know all the information about the housing estate, register guest, and make reservations for various facilities on the app. All problems can be solved in the H-1 App. The efficiency of various services saves manpower and time, making it the most intelligent housing estate.

01 Empathize
Most of the property management apps are only provide some notices and facility information, none of them are combined with home automation with different functions with guest registration and facility booking.

02 Define
Join the meeting with Henderson Land Development Company Limited’s project team to know their requirements and analysis with different property management apps and home automation apps.

03 Ideate
Design the multiple-step form with a process bar for the guest registration and facility booking function. Also, the Scene control banner on the home page to convenience users control the home devices.

04 Prototype
Using the Adobe XD to create the design and interactions. Then export some mockup videos to the client. Finally, discuss all the flows and details.

05 Test & Adjust
After communicating with the client will adjust all the layout and flow that are compatible with our ERP system. Then send the final design mockup to them for review.

06 Launch
Communicate with the engineer to build the app. Explain all the flow detail and main points to them.
